The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Łapczyca is a Gothic brick temple, erected in 1340 and founded by King Casimir the Great.
Currently, the stone building also has a number of newer, brick annexes – a vestibule and a chapel. In its original shape, the church had two naves with rib vaults. These days, it only has a single nave with false vault, with only relics of former vaults remaining in the church. Among the noteworthy features of the church are four stone portals (especially the Gothic pointed entrance portal, with rich profiles, embedded in the former façade). The historic elements of the church also include a 16th-century Gothic crucifix, Baroque sculptures of Our Lady and St John the Evangelist from the 18th century, as well as Baroque side altars. The main altar in the form of a triptych dates back to 1902 and was made in neo-Gothic style.
