ul. Krzęczków, 32-700 Bochnia Tourist region: Pogórza

The Jewish cemetery in Bochnia was founded in 1872.
In the following year, the funeral house was built, which was used for ritual preparation of the body before burial. During World War II, mass executions of the Jewish population were taking place in the cemetery. The area of the cemetery was devastated, however, to this day it has been preserved in a relatively good condition. More than 700 macebas have been maintained, including the most important one – the tomb of Asher Meir Halberstam, great-grandson of Chaim Halberstam, Tzadik from Nowy Sącz.
