During the German occupation, the villa was inhabited by Professor Władysław Szumowski, who had been a doctor in Szczawnica since the beginning of the 20th century. In the 1970s–90s, it housed the offices of ‘Orbis’. Today, in the part of the villa added on the northern side, is the Szczawnica Spa Museum, which introduces visitors and tourists to the traditions, character and uniqueness of the region. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions and other cultural events.
