Ulica Krakowska Tarnów

Krakowska Street, Tarnów

Tramwaj na ulicy. Wzdłuż ładne kamienice.
ul. Krakowska, 33-100 Tarnów Tourist region: Tarnów i okolice
One of the main Tarnów streets which was laid out at the end of the 18th century as a part of the track connecting Silesia and Lviv, the so-called ”Silesian Tract.” Currently it is an exit route leading to Kraków.
Throughout the years this alley was representing the visage of the city. It was a sole contributor to the city's social life. It was the street to have military parades and shows performed on it. The trams also used to cruise on it. In the 19th century, all the important institutions were located adjacent to this very street. That is why today we may find many monumental buildings. Let us turn our attention to the living tenements (Krakowska 2 & 8) from the 2nd half of the 19th century, the Bristol Hotel building (Krakowska 9) also from the 19th century, the 18th/19th-century small manor house (Krakowska 10) in which the Etnogfaphical Museum is located in, and the Holy Family Church (Krakowska 41).
